at first i thought they were alive, but then it mentions something about foam latex, either way, it just seems terrible to recreate life in such a way, an utter dependant organism strapped in a package.

Well, this is purely meant as "art". I doubt these are going to be mass produced or anything, and he says he is selling them for 1200 dollars moving 800 dollars non-moving

hmmm, think a lot of you might be missing the point here. the whole thing is art. the original setup and even when they're placed in a store window is meant to be a display of installation art commenting on what could possibly be reality with ongoing bioengineering. They're that expensive because he's selling you part of his artwork, not because he really expects these things to sell like Cabbage Patch Kids.

it's the next step in consumerism. If you think about it tho, it's not that far of a leap from what they are doing with all the tiny little dogs for celebs and wannabes...
oh i dont mind that, im not a liberal by any means, i just thoguht it was really far out and wanted to share it with you guys, the whole fetusey looking thing just creeped me out...do your research n stuff, but i dont wanna see it! lol
