Quite frankly, in the intellegence world, that statement makes perfect sense. For instance:

Known known: I know that I am wearing a green shirt today

Known unknown: I know that I do not know what color shirt you have on today

Unknown Unknown: You may not even have on a shirt today.

Not exactly. It was based on a way to make a handfull of people a tanker load of crisp 100 dollar bills. It was pitched and sold to the populace and those just outside of the circle of trust with lies and half-truths.

 

Um, OK.

 

For some reason "lie" doesn't seem to belong in the same sentence as "truth" or "trust".
