Worth quoting, again.

tc4italy seems to be taking all this personally. Of course not all girls are the same, but they are called generalizations for a reason, that reason is because they are generally true.

8 girls out of 10 (ahem.. ), you can be confident that they will be giving you mixed signals.

Well, that's too bad about the fight. I'm sure you had PLENTY of time to think about whether it was worth it.

Guys are typically stubborn. But it's in our nature.

Guys want what they want. As time goes by, they become much more focused on what their wants and needs are. Earlier on, they aren't quite as exacting. If you're a guy that's gone to college and has ever gone "Hogging", you know exactly what I mean

Women on the other hand are just the opposite. They're out looking for mates to marry. They start out FIERCELY specific on what they want, but as time goes by and the rest of the guys have married off, they become less and less picky because they're sick of spending long, lonely nights with a battery-operated friend.

I believe in equality just as much as the next person for a great number of things - but I also accept that there are gender roles. And until I can squeeze out a kid on my own, there will ALWAYS be separate gender roles for men and women. Denying or averting these roles won't make you a better person. Calling me screwed up for my opinion doesn't make you any less screwed up in my eyes

Being dismissive is the real refuge of ignorance. Stereotypes almost always have their basis in fact. To dismiss a stereotype as "ignorance" is neither smart nor truthful.

I'm white. I can't dance. I fit that stereotype. So do a lot of my friends. Sure, there's exceptions to the rule, but let's face it. White people can't dance

You are wrong dear.

Stereotypes are NOT generalizations. The difference is the amount of research in one or the other.

Saying Africans are taller than Caucasians is a stereotype until that statement can be backed by studies showing it to be true. Then it becomes a generalization.

I work in IT for a very large corporation. Here in our technology campus, the population is EASILY over 80% indian. Several days a week, the primary dish at the cafeteria is an indian curry/dosa dish (it's a good thing I like Indian food), and all the meats are halal.

Another stereotype that fits in this case....

See, the indian people that do IT work are often trained to do very specific things. However, they are rarely taught to "think outside the box" like their american counterparts - which is why only a scant few wind up in management.

Dave Chapelle. That man makes his living pointing out and ridiculing stereotypes. So if you think that stereotyping is a refuge for ignorance, it's probably good to point out that this particular form of ignorance pays very well

It's a good thing I knew what he meant!

^ And that's why he left the his own show - because he knew he was wrong for doing so. He was basically just throwing more fuel into the fire of stereotyping. Whereas, I believe his intension was to free society from the typical stereotypes, but in fact it was only doing the reverse and reinforcing them instead...

Every being is unique in their own right, so to say "a people/race/gender is this or that" is completely ignorant and unjustified. But hey, ur free to think or believe what ever u want, so if you choose to be part of the statistic/stereotype than that’s your choice - but just leave us who don't agree with your "labels" out of ur catagorizing.

Okay.. i think that was enough off topic from me.
Anyways, the topic is "nice guys finish last"... which i think refers to dudes getting OWNED (a.k.a. nice guy) by females. Guys actually being "nice" (literally) to girls never hurts, but when it starts to become ownage, thats when it becomes something else entirely - and yes, could lead to finish "last". Just depends on ur definition of "nice".

Just my $0.02 =)
