360 has swappable HDDs.
If WiFi is one of the best features, I feel sorry for you for buying the PS3 because of that.
Trophies is not like the 360 Achievements. ALL 360 games have achievements, about 5% of PS3 games have trophies. Out of the games I have, ONE has trophy support (LittleBigPlanet).

Sigh. Yes and no. You can transfer from a small HDD to a large HDD... once... and some Marketplace stuff won't work anymore. The 360 is great, but Microsoft had to work in some of it's classic hyperactive DRM enforcement that only ends up punishing legitimate people somewhere.

i should have been more clear i guess ....you can swap 360 hd aswell but you can only use ms hd ...so its 150.00 for a 120 g ..if you buy your own hd you have a restriction on size and kind that has ms code on it ...and you will need a computer to setup the hd....on the ps3 i can go to a store pick up a 500g and just pop it in my ps3 and bam done...also with the wreless i was just adding more to the list of things ps3 has over the other not saying he should buy because its built in...read the post he was asking for pros and cons of each ..

Well, from what I understand not every one, but there are a lot from Western Digital that are compatible. However, you don't just swap out the drive and think you're done. Most methods require disassembly of the XBox HDD case, and a second PC to do the disk imaging, etc. Microsoft keys their drives, so you need to do a little black magic to get around that, not for the computer illiterate.

If you don't intend to buy a bunch of movies to permanently store on the HD, and aren't demo crazy, 20 GB is more than enough for normal use. I never understood why people would buy movies that only play on one device, rental is another thing. It's nice to be able to download movies pay per view without an expensive cable package. I only have basic, and it's analog, not even digital cable.

i wonder if the new Xbox Live coming out on Nov 19 will make it harder to use modified or external drives. The new Live will allow users to rip their game onto the harddrive, but you'll need the original disc in the tray to act as a key. People have used external drives to store their music and divx movies to play off their 360. Hopefully we can do the same with this new ripping function. My 360's dvd drive is acting up, so I'm interested in this since my 360 is basically a Gears of War player LOL.

everyone one is making really good points on both sides. I guess its just one of those things you like what you like for the reasons you like them. I'm open to both systems. Right now the main reason I'm going for a 360 is price. (on a used system). and since they have sold more then the PS3 there is more avaliable out there. But I know in the next year, the price of the PS3 is going to drop alot. Just like in the past with the PS2 and the PS One.. When that happens I will be back on board with the Sony System

Sigh, it's classic Microsoft hyper-DRM again.

do you blame them? what do you want them to do, let everyone and their mom go rent the game, rip it, then return it and play it off the drive forever?

maybe in the future games should come with 1-time license keys or something, but for now i'm just glad they're offering the ripping at all.

If you like sports games, get a 360. 360 has 1080p while the PS3 only has 720p. Why? I have no clue.
If you like Metal Gear, then you'll love MG4 on the PS3. If this game does not get "Game of the Year",
then there is something really wrong in the video game industry. Like many have said; it will all boil
down to what type of games you like to play.

P.S. "Iron Man" (and "The Dark Knight" very soon!) looks absolutely amazing in Blu-Ray!!!

Yea I love the Metal Gear games. I was just playing the frist one on NES last night. Yes my girls NES still plays like its brand new. I never have to blow on the cartridge. and I have all the games for PSOne and PS2. I will be getting a PS3 but when the price drops another 100 bucks. Which should be in the next year.

Well, no, but what the f' is the point of letting people copy their games to HDD when they're still going to need the disc? It can't be for improved load times, because games cache that ____e nowadays.

Well damn... if it's not for load times, then what is it for? We'll know soon enough I guess.
