It's quite obvious you've never spent much time around Cockers or Dalmations.

I'm not getting into this, but if all you know about pits is from media hysterics, then you don't know pits.

 

I know the long standing reputation of pits, that is proven time and time again.

And I was bit by a dalmation once, they are extremely territorial by nature, they aren't doing anything that isn't expected from their breed. Luckily the dog (which had just gotten its shots two week prior) was owned by a fireman that had just moved in and was letting his dalmation run in the woods behind our homes. The dog was pretty nice once it got to know me.

And what's this talk about cockers? I've never known anything from them aside from being annoying. They wouldn't be one of the most popular family breeds if they were dangerous.

You're obviously in denial of what pitbulls have proven themselves to be.

I actually have 2 dalmatians and they are pretty hyperactive, but they are nice to anybody, even strangers.

One thing in the law of US is that there doesn't seem to have any punishments that involves anything physical. I mean, how much would it matter to the kids of they get fined 7.5 k each and locked up 5 months? it would be much more effective if they get whipped 5 times in a room and then tickled until they pass out in front of their entire school. Takes less time and costs less money too.

Locking them up would probably just screw them up even more. They'll come out knowing to just stab the dogs next time.

 

And it's obvious that you are easily swayed by media hysterics. Logically speaking, if they were the determined killers the media has made them out to be, with the sheer numbers of them out there, shouldn't there be more than 1 or 2 incedents a year?

I just don't understand people. That make me sick. How would they like it if I did that to them? Some people may say its just a dumb dog, but personally, my dog is a huge part of my family!

 

Fact is, us humans suck as overlords, and it's because there are just some of us that we really need to put away.

For the love of god, if we are going to end up eating them / making profits from their death, why can't we at least make the short time they have to live a non-terrifing experience?

 

it doesn't matter that "they're just kids" because would anybody still say that if they burned a living human being alive? no.. so why would you say something so ridiculously stupid like that? the kids that were directly involved with setting the dog on fire should receive a punishment equal to if the crime were committed by an adult. And the other kids that were "just spectating should receive a less harsh version of the other kids punishment.. just my .02

Agreed. My dog is basically like a sister or kid. Please don't put your faith in humanity like the dog did here, because if someone did that to my dog, it wouldn't matter a lick to me that 'they're just kids.' Single pet owners, however nice they are, can, will and do go from sane to psycho if anyone messes with their pet.
