Supercharged LS1 Motor Swap into a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo

There's an entire magazine dedicated to hybrid american / import vehicles. Can't remember the name but PTuning had them sitting out at their shop. The bigger question is why, the precise reason to use a 4 banger is weight savings and distribution. Look at the new Tiburon (still called Genesis), they're looking ar a 6 cylinder or a turbo 4 to keep balance for AutoX and probably rally. haven't seen an LS1 in anything out of drag, grand prix or drift. probably why Porsche is still using a 6 boxer even though the competition goes bigger. I'll commend him for the effort in getting it in there, but it seems to be a waste on that platform as it reduces the defining advantages of the Evo. is it at least still AWD?
Swaps are nothing new anyway, they're insanely popular on the old Z cars (240, 280). I'd love one in the xBox, but then it was never bred for curves to begin with.

That particular engine is popular with swaps because it is all aluminum. Therefore, you get all the old advantages of a V8 swap, with fewer drawbacks. Which is why it is very popular with the FD RX-7 crowd. That engine is only slightly heavier than the 13B rotary, just as powerful, much torqueier, and much more reliable.
However, I like the LS series engine, I like the Evo, but they really don't belong together.
