Hmm so the flower place you bought the bouquet from shipped via UPS... IMO that wasn't wise.

I think you should have shopped at a flower place that does its own delivery and has its own delivery van.

It'll all work out for the better... extra flowers and it's the thought that counts. At least you didn't spill a flower vase in your car like I did... twice!

Happened to me last year but with Fed-ex for my girls birthday. Had them mailed to her job, site said they were signed for. Waited for about an hour and called her but she said she didn't receive them! Cld fed-ex customer service (not much), the dumbass driver dropped them off at the wrong address!!!

I was ____ed because they said it would probably be until monday when they could get them to her (delivered friday). I told the guy he's an idiot, these are flowers that probably would be dead by then! I was placed on hold for like 45 mins when I got a call from my g/f. She said the people across the street were nice enough to drop them off to her.

Never again will I send flowers through the mail!!

Don't feel too bad. I ordered a custom bouqet for my wife from a flower place down the road. Would have been here on time if we didn't get a huge snowstorm this week. They told me today that they will reorder it so the flowers will be fresh and deliver it when they come in.

I placed an order on 1/29 through 1800flowers.com for 36 roses and a bear to be delivered to my wife's office yesterday. She left at 5pm and didn't receive anything so I tried calling to cancel my order. The line would just ring busy and hang up on me so I sent an email through their website to cancel. They sent a reply that night saying it was too late to accept cancellations.

UPS finally delivered it today and she signed for it (she didn't know she was getting flowers yesterday). I called and complained until they credited me back in full. And this is two years in a row they did this. I would much rather have paid the $56 and had it delivered yesterday but at least they refunded me and she got free flowers.
