hey i have a question about the true boost, its a lil dimmer than the other aem gauges right? or it only goes bright when you are in boost?

also the brightness stays the same regardless if your lights are on or off?

Yeah...everyone on the AEMPowe forums has been complaining about that.

The thing is, I can see because I have it in the middle of the other AEM gauges, and there is a light sensor right in the middle. When it's night, or dark, or whatever...all 3 gauges are the same brighntess. But in direct sunlight, the sensor on the UEGO and OIL gauges cause them to get brighter, but for some reason, it doesnt work on the Tru boost. Either wireing, or maybe the sensor is covered up to much to see the light...it's not related to whether your cars lights are on or anything.
At night...all the gauges are the same brightness.

Java should be able to back me up, as he has all 3 gauges as well.

Doesnt bother me to much anymore cause I have the tru boost in the middle.

it's funny you should say that... my oil pressure gauge is a little darker than my other two.. maybe the LEDs are just inconsistent... or, if the truboost is supposed to be that way, maybe i just have a crappy LED in my gauge

wired like installed wrong? or wired liek manufactured wrong?

all i know is that there have been several people complain about it's dimness...and then In noticed that the others brighten up in sunlight, but the truboost doesn't.

sure you can...others have done it.
But you run the risk of thouse gauges being thrown in your face if they go off...dont' know if you candisable them.
But I think someone said the apiller they got did not cover where the air bags were.

To be on the safe side, I'd stay away from a-piller pod with curtian air bags.
