So I'm in a huge well-lit parking lot here in Fort Worth, mere feet from a major 4 lane road. I just arrived and I'm waiting to see if any other Scions show up (we just started meeting weekly last week) and some 17-19 year old black guy in a black Dodge Stratus pulls up and asks me about my neon. I say I got it at Pep Boys yadda yadda how much yadda yadda then he asks me if I do c-pills, whatever the hell those are. I'm like naw I'm not into that kinda stuff, it's not my thing. I can only assume he meant some kinda drugs, I dunno what the kids are calling what these days.. He's like aight take it easy and drives off. I was on my guard the whole time but was like ok, whatever. He comes back 2 minutes later and parks closer to me and says "Give me your wallet or I'll shoot you". I'm like "what?". He says again "Give me your wallet or I'll shoot you right here." By now, i have the car in gear and the hand break off (it was still running), and I look at him in disbelief (cos i can see both his hands, and he aint got no gun where he can get to it fast) and say "See ya" and took off. The freakin idiot follows me. I ran aroundbehind a neighboring building and doubled back and there he is coming the other way LOOKING FOR ME. Moron! So i burn by him, back out onto the street, and around the front into traffic. I circle WAY around and come back to the parking lot where I was sitting waiting for other Scions and call 911. Yeah, they took my name, number, and description of the car (I couldnt see plates cos he was beside me) etc and put out a call for cars in that area to look for him. That's all. I returned to the lot because it was open, I knew to be on the lookout for non-scion's approaching, and I thought they might send a squad car to file a report. 10 minutes later, a black cherry pearl tC showed up. We yakked for an hour and then split. This is freaking FORT WORTH, not NYC or LA or something! Craziness! All my FW peeps that didn't show, you MISSED out. It was surreal.

Well, 2 minutes after I got off the phone with 911, it went from scary to funny.. I was in shock that something like that would happen to me, in Fort Worth, in a well-lit parking lot, in plain view of a major street. It's so absurd. Well, absurd in retrospect...

I had something like happen to me just recently. A man walked up to my car and tried to open my door. I smiled at him, raised my Sig Sauer P239 and nicely asked him to get on the ground. I would have made him bite the curb and go American History X on him, but i like my job. I called the cops and they took care of the rest.

Yeah that's a great gun. Probably better for that guy that I didn't.. The laws are such here that I could've killed him and spent under an hour afterwards explaining to the cops what happened. Texas is great like that. A buddy of mine that DOES have a CHL and carry almost rode along with me that night, too. That guy just doesn't know how close he came to going home in a box. Though I came just as close myself though....

 

Same with Florida

 

Yeah I love living somewhere where you arn't penalized for defending yourself..
