your pretty much the same age as me so I know what you mean but I see things a blt ahead of our time. And for watches of this caliber, they are absolutely timeless and can be passed down through his family once he starts one. It's a lifetime investment.... and with the quality of these watches that are out there, it's really an amazing spectacle really to see/appreciate. For instance I have a classic cartier tank watch that was given to my dad by my mom while he was in law school. The watch is over 30 years old- its really a classic in the sense that they dont even make parts for it anymore and it still works everyday- hand wound and it was passed onto me on my 21st birthday. Thats the reason as to why I want to get him a watch, especially one such of the same grade.
