Good Question & nice first post too. It's prolly just as easy as pulling the fuse or a relay that drive it, but I don't know which one.

Default It's EASY!!

....and so much better. On the drivers door jamb there is a push switch with one tork screw. Remove switch and disconnect white fitting going into swich. Takes one minute!!. Kills lights left on also which I prefer.

Does disconectiong the door open chime effect the door open warning light? I don't like the chime but with kids the door open warning light is a must.

it only affects the door warning sensor from the driver's side door, not any of the other doors.

I would love to stop the seat belt warning.
I usually put my seat belt on last. (otherwise you have to do it with your keys in your hand)

I wonder if disconnecting the plug under my seat would screw up anything else...like the airbag...

anyone know?

thanks

This may be a stupid question, but won't that affect the alarm and keyless entry systems? By disconnecting that switch, I don't think you'll be able to change any of the programming options on the alarm system.
