All staffing for the event was done by Beyond Marketing, not Scion. Beyond Marketing has done big events for Scion for several years, and are usually VERY good at handling them, and taking care of any problems that may occur - that's what they do for a living.

It appears to this outside observer that the supervision of the "valets" may have fallen through the cracks at this event, but I'm sure that Beyond Marketing, with the backing of Scion, will take proper care of the problems.

Good luck everyone, and give the folks doing the work a little space and time TO work.

We must be careful to not burn Scion on this. We don't want them to feel that these issues are enough for them to not plan another event for owners.
I could of not said it better!

JUST LIKE THERE TAKING CAR OF THIS PERSON RIGHT?

ALSO,HOW DO YOU REPAY SOMEONE FOR THE STRESS AND TIME THEY HAD TO GO THROUGH TO GET THIS RESOLVED??MONEY DOSENT SOLVE EVERYTHING GOOD SIR!

heres most of her post from scikotics

Whoever was driving (or off-roading) my RS 3.0 xB seriously messed up the engine, bad enough that my car was not able to be driven home!!!
Finally, after 8+ hours of waiting to make our 20+ hour drive back to Oklahoma, Beyond Marketing finally agreed to get us a rental car & ship our xB back home to be repaired as long as we paid for everything up front to be reimbersed. The car was suppose to be shipped out early today & I should receive a check for the money we spent in a couple days.

During our long butt drive, the man I spoke to never called us. He was suppose to call us in the morning, but we waited until the afternoon & still nothing. Then there was the phone tag. When we finally got a hold of him, he said they were not going to be able to ship my car out for almost a week. Oh yeah, & we would continue to have to pay out of our pocket for a rental car until the car finally ships out & then has to be repaired.

In my sleep deprived state, I was in such a hurry to get home that I really didn't know what was suppose to be in the contact I signed. I'm not a lawyer & I guess I'm too trusting with people. Since the contract they typed up did not include any dates, I am at their mercy & may have to wait weeks & spend money I do not have to get this resolved.

Meanwhile my car is still sitting in a parking lot in Las Vegas. They haven't even arranged to get a tow truck to put it in a garage or something somewhere that isn't sitting out in the open.

Oh yeah, & the back bumper on our xD is falling off.

And the 12 pack of water we left in the xD from our road trip was opened & drank by whoever was in the car. I also had trash from the event in my backseat.

First off, SLIVER007, jumping on me will do neither that person nor you any good, I wasn't there, I was not involved, and there is little I can do to fix any of the problems.

Second, do not post in all caps.

I understand the tension and anger of those who have had their vehicles damaged, but striking out at folks who did not do the damage, and are trying to help is counterproductive.

The vehicles were damaged, and that cannot be un-done no matter who gets involved or what they do. That is understood.

Don't blow it by making anyone who tries to help go into defensive mode or angering them - that does not help.

Now, can we have a rational, intelligent discussion on what needs to be done from THIS point forward, since we can't change the past?

Tom

"If" is a word that only applies to the future, the past cannot be changed.

Dkfung88, it doesn't help to attack each other. Let's all calm down and work together at the best solutions we can reach, given where we are right now.

(If my xB, Vanilla, had been there and been damaged, I might be in jail right now if I had seen it happen. There is no excuse for the damage done to private vehicles. Luckily, the folks who failed in the supervision of the temp employees are trying to do their best to fix what they can. Obviously they can't "fix" the past, so let's try to look forward.)

first off DKFung, if it had been a few scratches it wouldn't have been as big of a deal, but they fried her motor, that is a big deal, so unless you read it, don't comment on it

i noticed when i was on the bus and i see my car jerk up hill then roll backwards. scion itself was more then great just the contracted vallet was a no no.

^^thank you^^^ I can understand how she feels! Hope everything gets worked out quickly, people on here dont seem to understand the hardships this has created for this one person, people tend not to understand until the same thing happens to them, and really look how old he is who is responding he is still a kid. lets just let it go..and from what I have read it was over 100 cars that where damaged.

tom I just didn't like your non-cholent attitude towards this whole thing, you didn't actually start to care till I lit a fire underneath you...LOL...no hard feelings bro, I just understand how these people feel as I have spent well over 17 thousand dollars on my tc and for it to be treated like this at a scion sactioned event is just beyond me. (not that I was there)....like I said before I know it's not Scion's fault!

so what ur saying is if i read it, i can comment right? good cause i read every thread that was posted for united, even the one that got deleted so dont tell me i havent read the posts.

and for the fried motor, im pretty sure they will fix that as well. they gave her a rental car, even though she is pay out of pocket right now for her rental, they will reimburse her later on. Im pretty sure a company like that would not screw her over especially now since its all over the forums.

no they didn't give her a rental car, she had to rent it, and has to pay for it out of her own pocket, until they decide what they are going to do about her car
