England was ranked 9th per FIFA. I don't think anyone said it was our year. It's just typical media overreaction and team support fantasy. This is typical for any country...even Togo. 2006 was the only oppurtunity for England to be in the Final until after the next two World Cup. 2010 South Africa will be one hot World Cup. Bids for 2014 are ongoing.

portugal will not make it
and germany - italy...yeah germans are as strong as us (remember we both have 3 stars) but i believe that once italy gets it's team spirit on they play much better

wow, what a stunning game italy-germany. everyone was thinking PK's but that last opportunity was amazing by italy.
i'm not gonna predict tomorrow's results, but with either portugal or france going to the finals with italy, it's gonna be a spectacular world cup finish.

im cheering for portugal even though i think most prob. france will win...
no doubt the latter one (italy-france) would be more interesting

todays match was disappointing.. i dont know that france deserved to advance on a weak penalty... regardless they are back in the cup final... GO ITALY
I like italy for soooo many reasons...
1. style of play
2. i hate france (pussies)
3. italy advanced out of the US bracket
