Yeah, it was actually the first time I ever saw snow, too (I'm 22, super sad or what?!), & I attempted snowboarding. I did pretty good but I bailed reallllllllllly good once & the snow showed my butt who was boss. =/

I'm no quitter, I'm going back next month I think & I'll definitely do better.

 

haha better late then never! the snow tends to do that to new people but you just gotta keep coming back for more. where'd you go?

 

I went to Big Bear (Bear Mountain). I hear Snow Summit's better for the newbz, thought.

If I don't get better after 2 more tries, I'm gonna hit up the intertubes. lol

right on. bear's fun but idk something about the locals that i just don't like.


i wish it snowed last night ugh this warm weather nonsense is ridiculous.

 

i miss snowboarding back in michigan i had a seasons pass to alpine valley every year thats about the only thing i miss about snow

Bah I need my D40x to sell so I can pick up some more lenses. Looking at the 10-20mm Sigma lens and a Nikon 50 f1.8. Then maybe the Tamrom 17-50 that someone recommended earlier. I'll probably pick up the 17-50 instead of the 18-70

 

i'm not a fan of off brand lenses...their color and sharpness is just never as good as OE lenses

 

I guess. I can pick up the nikon 50 1.8 and 18-70 for pretty cheap. the tamron has some pretty good reviews though

 

doesnt nikon make a 18-105 or something? that seems like a good buy for a walk around lens.. dont know about the sharpness though
