i just used bulb (my brother and i switched off between holding the shutter and drawing) on a tripod with some colored lights i found lying around. thnks for the comments.

for someone trying to learn the camera you got some nice captures. If you are just starting out than you definately have a natural eye for it.

Bah just looking at your photos makes me want to go take some photos but it sucks not having a car to go to places to take photos. I guess I'll walk around my apartment to see if I can do something with stuff in my apartment

now i have to try out some night shots im not off of work till 7pm so thats why i hardly use the camers but im getting a tripod tomorrow and will take a shot of some night pics.. any tips?

ha ha yeah shooting kids is a lot of fun and work. They NEVER stop moving and don't take direction well. They usually just wanna show u whatever they have in their hand. They don't understand ur taking a photo of them so they want u to take a photo of whatever they have. ha ha

idk, i know Canon has a good reputation. i love my P&S Canon SD900, i guess i wanted something more out of my camera but didnt want to pay for it being a bigger body, D80 or D90. which are overpriced IMO.

if you can score a good priced D90... i highly recommend this camera. i am in love so far. it's such a nice upgrade from the D40. i've seen bodies selling for $700 which is a great deal. the thing takes just as clear of pictures as the D300 and D3. i'm in love literally.
