it has the same body as the d40/x but with more features and MP. its a good starter camera but you will wanna upgrade soon (like me)
Since the body is so small it does not come with the built in motor that makes AF (autofocus) work so you have to buy AF-S lenses which are more expensive becuase they come with the built-in motor that makes AF work. i love my d40, dont get me wrong but sometimes i wish i didn't have to but AF-S lenses.

i got media passes to the D1GP this weekend and i was wondering if anybody has any tips on taking good pan shots of the drift cars.. all i know is have a somewhat slow shutter speed and kinda be straight line.. im going to be shoot with probably a 18-70mm if that helps..
