I'm not a pro, not even an amateur lol, was shooting last night with a tripod; 30 second exposure.



What can I do to improve the compilation of the picture?

If that was directed to me, I am using a D60 with the standard VR 18-55mm

Welcome to my battle.

I am about to buy my first DSLR. Been waiting to do this for some time. My battle of course is the common one of Canon vs Nikon.

I can either start with XSi or the D60.

Or

I can start higher with the 50d or the D90.

I know there is no simple comment here that will direct me to one or the other but there are things I like about both cameras.

Canon seems to have the edge on lenses.

Any thoughts?

 

i assume you have no price range?

 

go to your local camera store and play with them. id say start off with the XSi then later on move your way up with a better body.

 

x2, have had the xs for a little, ill prob upgrade around christmas time to the 50d.

 

Sid you gonna sell your xs?

 

D40 or XSI. whichever is more comfortable for you.

cost wise, what you get for what you pay, the D40 is the best deal on the market for a beginner DSLR.

 

XSI hands down unless u want the speed of the 50d.

 

I'll vouch for the XSI. It is my first DSLR and I love it so far...my new lense is on the way!

Either one you won't be disspointed, but its what ever feels best to you.
