haha, I was never against grain, Just certain types of noise like chrominance and banding. which my camera tends to do in high ISO and low light
luminance noise is acceptable :-)

but you are correct, I tend not to prefer any noise in my color photographs including grain.

oh i know. But still like to watch the process. I was watching an HDR "tutorial" type video from TWIP and they were kinda showing how Tone Mapping works better than the HDR in Photoshop. Any idea if Photomattix is better than PS for that?
yeah on PS, it kinda enhanced the colors but didn't show the detail in the blown out spots. With photomatix u could get the inside of the building exposed right and the outside that is usually blown out is in correct exposure too. I was like wow HUGE difference.
