Here's a few from today:

 

4 is awesome! What was the point of focus for 1? There is a lot of distracting elements to it. The person in the back, the shade/sun on the parking spot.

 

It's actually a walking path hence the "no bikes/skating". I guess I was trying to portray defiance with the person skating in the background.

 

I see, but that person is on the sidewalk haha.

 

It looks like a parking space lol.

 

yea i think the shadow is way too dark cause the contrast is too high.. i count tell what the subject was either..

 

It's [faux] cross-processed; the contrast is supposed to be high. Maybe I'll try it in b&w.

 

you guys have any PS tutorials? i wanna try something new. i dont really edit my photos except for some b&w.

 

Lol, you get what you pay for. I've heard too many bad things about super cheap lenses. Especially that one.

 

Says the dude with nothing but Tamron lenses...

 

And a Canon 28-90mm which I wouldn't exactly say is the best lens either.

My SP 11-18mm Tamron sells for $530 (I found mine for $400 brand new on eBay)...and I'd say I've gotten all of (if not more) my moneys worth.

Canon glass is much better than Tamron. Think of it as Rota vs. OEM. You're rather have better quality equipment on your car, right? Same goes for cameras.

Anyway, I've never heard anything bad about the 50mm f/1.8. It's a fantastic lens for the price. It's very sharp and the colors are better than third party lenses by a long shot.

 

My 50 is the greatest lens i have. It is my auto shoot lens, my portrait lens and my all around life lens.

I am looking at the same lens Shane, it is one of canon's greatest lenses.

 

 

Might I add, that the 70-300 is a macro lens? Could this have anything to do with it? It was given to me for Christmas, and I didn't think much about it being a macro lens. mainly because I never fully understood "macro" other than using it for up-close shots when I had a point and shoot. so immediately when getting that lens, i just thought it was good all around and good for up-close stuff.

The main thing I've heard about the that particular 50mm is that it is very poorly built...just meaning as in like, it breaks really easily. I mean, I may still try it regardless simply because it's cheap to get.

Anyone have experience with the one i posted a link to?
