if you're wanting this for the movie mode don't waste your time... it is GARBAGE. seriously. if you're wanting it because it's overall better than the D300 less than half the price...ok.

I second that at least for the movie mode. The movie mode on that camera is total crap. There's point and shoot cameras that have better video quality than the D90 [ at least from what reviewers said on CNET]. If you really want a solid video recorder with on an DSLR get the Canon 5D MarkII (if you can afford it).

Check out the this short by Vincent Laforet.

Done with using the Canon 5D MarkII Prototype. I just can't stop drooling over this! If this isn't enough also check out the photographic samples and 1080p RAW video files

Sadly I'm going to stay with my Canon 40D

I would not buy a D90 for video, thats why you buy a 1080p video recorder.

A D90 is an excellent DSLR...check out

for a comprehensive review

I have a D300 and my nephew just got a D90, I think the D90 is an excellent camera for the money. I love my D300 and will probably keep it for many years (just like my D70 which I still own) but the D90 borrows some very good features from it.

The bottom line is that its still the lens that make overall picture quality. Good luck with your decisions.

just say no to auto. no point in buying an SLR if you are going to shoot in P&S mode.

Learned a few new techniques today, gonna try them out tonight.

For anyone who knows what they are, expect to see shaped bokeh and light painting :D. I just hope I can figure out how to do it properly lol.
