yeah I can't imagine even trying to shoot without one, as soon as I got my camera I bought a zeikos grip and it was the best investment I made for my d40. the d40 so small to begin with its just too awkward.

from my experience the card readers are way faster.

 

I don't really care about transfer speed. Whenever I throw my pictures onto my iMac, I usually just import them all and then go do something else. It's fast enough.

don't use iphoto. use the canon software...soooooo much better

 

Yup. I use iPhoto for everything. Importing, organizing, editing. And I already have a good 50-60GB sorted out in it, so I'm not about to try something else out lol.

Yeah I use bridge to browse and open to camera raw then go to PS to make adjustments and save the files.

Taken with Canon 7D along with either 70-200 f/4 IS or 17-85mm... Upgrading 17-85 to 24-105 f/4L in next week or so.

 

fml, and just like that im selling everything i just bought. the 40D, grip and 28-135. an unexpected bill just came today in that i completly forgot about. its for my insulin pump. going 4 months with it, i thought they had forgot about billing me, wishfull thinking. diabetes isnt cheap. sorry folks, maybe another time ill get back in the swing of things and upgrade at a later date.

the sky was still blue when i took the moon pic. Don't know why it came out black. And i tried all different exposure timing.
