yanki i am interested in this. Can I let u know tomorrow?
thanks. And I wanna say sorry u gotta get rid of gear for ur diabetes. I am type 2 and hope that I never have to go to insulin and pumps cause I'd die before I give up sweet tea or my camera gear. ha ha I am HYPOGLYCEMIC tho so it's a little easier to just bring me up instead of juggle my sugar.
yea no kidding man, diabetes in general isnt fun but ive learned to deal with being type 1 and i think im managing it very well. my A1C's dropped from 8.5 to 6.2 when i got the insulin pump. this little machine is great. i was tired of injecting myself 3-4 sometimes 5 times a day. it didnt hurt because i got used to it but it was inconvienent to do so after every meal. now i just have to pay the price for it.
next month will be 2yrs since ive been diabetic. i switched over to diet drinks that day i was in the ER, my next drink was diet coke and been drinking diet ever since (unless my sugar gets low). im letting my camera gear go because i have, i guess you would call it backup gear which is my XSi, 18-55, 50 1.8 & 420EX. so this little upgrade wasnt "THAT" necessary just a want. im ok with what i have, now i "NEED" money soon so i can pay this bill.

Diet Dr. Pepper is better for u than Diet Coke just as a tip. I personally like the taste better too. My sugar is usually below 70 all times of the day. Makes it hard to get the energy to do anything for sure.

I've seen $100 and up + shipping new. So my price would be saving you $10-15, plus the hassle of finding the hood. If you dont want/need the hood that's cool, will sell w/o but I found it to be beneficial. Does protect and keep light out, I like it way better then w/o the hood and the ones mostly for sale don't have the adapter ring for the 1.8. I never had a problem with manual focus with the hood.

$100 shipped, brand new.
Or the imported model, which doesn't have the warranty

$90 shipped, brand new.
Thanks man. I'm actually buying it out of necessity. I'm going to World of Wheels in the morning and I already know the 50mm is going to be too close. Needless to say, it'll be up for sale.
sounds like a good plan. I like to keep one or two zooms just to have the versatility of not having to swap lenses as often and sometimes u literally just can't move forward or back.
