I really want a fisheye. what do you guys think about bower? they're fisheye lens is relatively cheap I think alil over 300?

 

canon or sigma is the best. I've got a canon one for sale for $550.

 

I shoot nikon. but if I had a canon that's pretty great.

the bower is 349 shipped. I might just scrap over the extra 200 for a sigma fisheye.

 

I've used the 1.2 and the 1.4 and the focus on the 1.8 can be super slow and sometimes doesn't even focus depending on conditions. The 1.4 is really fast, way better then the 1.8 and in some instances faster than the 1.2. Don't get me wrong, like I said, it's great for the money but you can grow out of it. I almost picked up the 1.4 but backed away so I can pick up the 1.2 soon. The 1.2 is incredibly sharp and best DOF. I dunno, they all work for their purpose and what not but just left me wanting on some shoots.

 

I'd just like to take the time to post that Robert is amazingly awesome & showed up at my house over the weekend where he re-gifted me back my 50 1.8, free of charge. Love you little brotherrrrrr! Atleast I feed you, haha.

I really need to make time to play with my camera. I took a couple cool shots but Flickr wouldn't let me upload them for some reason. I'll try again tonight.

 

going to a rockabilly show on thursday, hopefully ill get some good shots there. Then Jerry Lee Lewis in 3 weeks, hopefully he lights a piano on fire for me to get that on my camera

pretty new. been really putting an effort in for about a month. got the d40 for my bday in june. BSd around some learning the basics, but didnt put a tried hard effort in. took a few months off bc of school, and picked it back up first of the yr since my sister is pregnant and i wanna get some good shots of my nephew. hell, atleast something got me going on it. ive learned more in the past 4 weeks about photography than i couldve imagined. practice practice and a lot of reading

I'm looking to get a grip for my XSi/450D after i get it fixed...what do you guys recommend?

 

Went squid fishing tonight off about 45 minutes from Mission Beach, CA. 40 people on board and each person caught any where from 4-10 squid each. Each one about 30-60llbs!! We were done in about 2 hours and my arms are sore!
