That site is mostly for Canon. I don't think he will find a lot of Nikon Gear in there however they do post them there from time to time.

Anyone see the new Flickr photo page layout? I like it a lot better they should have done this a long time ago.

 

What are the differences? One thing I wish they would change is letting u choose multiple images to post all at one time in an IMG tag instead of one at a time.

The page is wider and now the default size is 640px instead of 500px. It's simplified and the image data is higher up. They also added a built in "view on black" feature. I wish they'd just let you change the color of your page background. And yeah a tag generator would be great.

 

I was just about to post about it. Looks great! I really like the change.

#3 has the best composition and color.

 

No expert but I like your DOF.

My first time using photoshop and trying to learn post processing and removing trash cans. Ill have to pick up a book or something. ya'll using photoshop or lightroom?

 

My personal fav's are 1 and 3. The wind and sun were very harsh to me. I took a billion shots and and like these four but am not totally happy. Anything i could have done better?

 

Try shooting later in the day. Midday sun is almost always terrible to shoot in. Like I said composition is good on 3. You could maybe experiment with processing to spice the photo up being that it's just a flower.

 

The whole hike was impromtu, lol. I knew the harsh sun was going to suck, but I just went with it.

my friend is buying my XSI off me to replace his girlfriend's XSI that he dropped and doesn't want her to know about, Should I look into a 40D or 50D or step up to a 7D or an older 5d? the 7d and above 1k would be somewhat pushing my budget. Video isn't that important but would be nice. Really leaning towards getting a 7D and finding a payment plan through B&H or equivalent and paying it back in 4 months when I am back from being underway. I was saving funds for a nice mid range L lens so Im not shooting a 7D(was saving for) with an xsi kit lens.

Was the video shot with your 5D? If so maybe you can explain something to me. When you're shooting video is all the focusing done manually?
