DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
Last weekend, I (along with 4 or 5 other photog's throughout the state) were invited to drive up to Raleigh to shoot a car show. They're supposed to set us up a place to upload shortly so the people who participated can buy prints. Here's a few I went ahead and put on my Flickr though...

This tC won the Hellaflush award, lol.

Well I'm sitting here watching Halloween and a commercial comes on about this new series called The Walking Dead. It looks familiar and I remember seeing a lot of movie trucks downtown for the last few months. Apparently this is what they were filming.

Here's a photo from their gallery and one I took for comparison. I thought it was pretty neat how they manipulated the scenery.

I'll probably end up watching it just because it was filmed here.

Looks nice. Done with photoshop?
I ask because I finally got photoshop and want to experiment with anything I can.
Jon, what are benefits and/or exciting factors of having a film camera? To me it's just a novelty or something. Really cool to own and play around with. But what reason did you dig it up?

Jon, I want a film DSLR as well. I want to actually learn photography and the best way is to do it on film. Congrats on the film. Do you have access to a dark room?
I look at it as the true essence of photography so to speak. There's no reviewing your photo instantly after you take it so you gotta make sure you get it right the first time. It also gives you a better understanding of light and metering. There's no autofocus so that slows you down and forces you to take time when composing the shot. Without the SLR there would be no DSLR.
