DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
This setup is my go to on location ultra portable unit. Two speedlights triggered by pocket wizard on a small light stand . Shoot in Manual on flash at about 1/2 power. Expose for ambient and fill with flash and presto!Last edited by salgadoimages; May 31, 2013 at 03:30 PM.
Just spent $700 in lens today, and another $90 making prints.
Sigma 10-20mm wide angle (to replace the one I sold with my d80)
Nikon 55-200mm VR (so I no longer have to borrow friends. lol)
After printing $90 worth of photos (16 8X10's and 5 12X18's) I've sold 2 8x10's and 1 12x18. $30 in sales (at family cost!) and hope to make the next $60 tonight, so that I'll be in the black for prints soon. And hopefully after that, I'll have a little mini gallery to sell in.

Went to Mammoth Cave on a little Mini Vacation this past weekend. This is a state park in Bowling Green Kentucky, and is the worlds longest natural formation cave. And I was lucky enough to get the older gentleman with campy humor who made the tour fun and informative. Nothing worse than be trapped in a cave with a dry tour guide. lol.

The bottomless pit was awesome (last image). A slave actually was the first to cross it, in which he was able to discover more of the tunnels. He mapped it, and was given full credit for his achievements. Yup, in the 1800's a slave was given full credit for all his work. Kentucky was always a weird borderland state. lol

Nice. They look good against that silver.
The tower is Sky Tower, in downtown Auckland.
Screw boring tour guides, in general. Level of enthusiasm should be a bigger part of their screening/hiring process.

Ah cool. I'd love to see the world. But I probably never will be that ballin'.
And yes, boring tour guides are the pits. The assistant tour guide (the one that make sure nobodies left behind, and turns the lights off as you leave the areas. Yes, they are very efficient, buses run on propane, electric golf carts, ect.) was a boring guy. He really didn't play along with the main guide, in which I thought would of been better. You know, like stupid campy jokes when the guy says "turn the lights back on!" he could have responded "I lost the switch" or something. Just a dry boring doucher. But at least the main guy loved what he was doing, and loved being around people. I'd buy him a beer if they sold beer there. lol
