It means that it was more fun when it was xA's and xB's only, tC owners are just different, not saying that I hate them or anything. Most of the problems in my region started when the tC's started getting popular. We used to have a majority (75%) of xB's at meets and shows, now it's about 90% tC's, most of the xB/xA owners don't come out anymore because the tC owners would ignore/be a-holes/bash on xB owners. Not to mention tC owners would make us look bad at Meets, Shows, and cruises by doing burn outs, speeding, driving recklessly.

I'm NOT saying all tC owners are like this, but the majority in my region and ex-club were.....
i get what your saying and like it has been said on another post its those few bad seeds, me personally i get sick and tired of looking at the tc when thats all that shows up at meets, i would like to see more modded xa's and xb's i see the tc everyday so come meet time its time to see something new

I am still here....I just don't have much to post...I always used to look forward to coming out on the weekends....but now I just work too much lol. I would still say that things are "peachy." There are definately a lot of new people but that just makes it more fun. Hopefully I will make it out sooner or later

I've actually talked about this to some other people...xB and xA owner's wave at each other, even if they have no clue who it is..tC owners try to race other tC's.

As for the whole Randy not having fun thing, could it possibly be that you've done 90 (maybe a few more) spring installations and it's just getting tedious now?

Wow.

I'm new to ScionLife.com and I wasn't aware that some tC owners have a superiority complex over xB owners.

Honestly- we all drive TOYOTAs... so what's the big deal?

I know everyone here more specifically drives Scions but I wanted to say Toyota because Lexus is within the Toyota family and well - I'm a part of the fam.

Most of us tC owners do not feel that way I sure do not. How can you have a superiority complex from a car that cost a few grand more than another..? *LOL*

Constant emails, phone calls, inappropriate comments/touching, invasion of privacy etc. Not the type of behavior you'd expect from a married man 20 years my senior. Especially not the type of behavior I want shown towards me or others, which he is also guilty of. Last year I handed over the planning of the Christmas party and did not attend so I would not have to be around this person. Lord knows if it's one thing I love its planning events so that was pretty sad for me. I rarely attend meets anymore and when I do I stick to myself. I'd rather keep things simple with a 'hi' and a 'bye' because when people start getting to know eachother on a really personal level is when things can start to get messy.

damn, thats crazy....

although this might have been the problem in your area, I dont think the tC's have been causing trouble in our area. As othere have stated, we all drive toyotas. As long as i have been in the group, I have yet to see anyone do a burn outat any of the meets. All i have ever seen is engine reving. Yes when scion first came out with the xB's and xA's that is all you saw! As new cars come out they grow on people and increase in popularity. I sure when the new scion comes out a lot of people will want to go and get one, why? because everyone is always trying to do something different and new.
By being from a different region our problems are not going to be the same as ones from your region. Remember we have diferent people and different opinions. As far as i can recall from this post, this was supposed to just be a discussion about D&S members and what they think.

I voted for PEACHY! (but i kno a lot of you can tell this because of the pictures.)

Not a bad point, and Randy did say "help me and others understand".

How about it Randy? Are you having fun still? Do you think you could talk to the "others" and get them to join in this thread?

Ok here is my take on it.

First off I am still having fun. I came in this a little over a year ago and have seen some changes in just that amount of time. I am not afraid to name names so here I go.

Randy and I dont see eye to eye. I personally dont have a issue with him, but I know he does with me. Cause I "take his business". I am a business man just like everyone else. I do understand that he was the first one to work on them here. But you know all business's start that way. I do not go out and try to take business from him. I have never done that. I merely told one person that I was alot closer to him since he was looking for someone close to him. Randy got all bent out of shape over it and has been that way towards me since. I just do the right thing and stay away from the issue so it dont get worse.

Ron (awesome tC) and I had a issue at the beginning. It was petty and have became pretty good friends now.

The show seen can get pretty competitive. We all know that. I know I try my best to win. But if I loose to one of ours it is all good. We have some of the best looking vehicles out there. I didnt specify a certain one, cause there is bad a$$ ones in all three groups. People will always copy your ideas. Unless your idea just plain sucks.. LOL..

and some closing comments. I think if people have a issue with someone then just say it. Dont hide behind the he said she said crap. That gets everyone no where. I know when I have a issue I address it. Or if it is a issue I think is petty and will just make matters worse. I just ignore it. Not worth the drama that comes with it. I think we all need to MAKE it fun again. If you let it bring you down, then that is your fault.

That's an excellent point. If the person with the beef isn't willing to air it then we should let ourselves become their tool and end up with threads like this where we don't even know what the base issue is.

Has anyone posted their issue in this thread that has been one of the "others" talking to Randy about the "Fun"? You really should come forward because you really aren't trying to be part of the community if you're not willing to do more than speak through others.

I'm not trying to be an a$$, I just think we really need to get things out into the open so we can all work on making them better. Like my screw-up at the meet the other night, I apologized for it, and if we can figure out what the issue was that fired you up enough to go to Randy with it then, maybe we can do something about your issue too.

Heck... I'm trying to figure out how you got a hold of him to have these deep discussions anyway! J/K Randy.... We all know how busy you are.

Anyway... lay it out there and let's work on making it better and avoiding the same mistake(s) in the future.

Since it was posted in the D&S Forum one could assume that is was localized to some extent. Especially with the recent dramas that have unfolded online. This leads me (for one) to think it IS an issue in AZ.

Also, if it was a general issue, a veteran user like Randode would have posted it in off-topic.

You're still welcome to voice your opinion though because this is America and silence is NOT golden.

Which brings me back to my previous post and the person(s) in the shadows that sparked this "raging inferno".

Ok trying to be sarcasticly funny, it was posted in the Desert and Salt region and not Off topic or General area.. So i'd say it was more geared for this region. That and 80% of the posters here are in Arizona.

Hey! We're trying to solve BIG issues here. This is HIGH DRAMA, people may be crying themselves to sleep at night. Show some compassion man!

Seriously though... we're trying to clear some air here.

Lets just start of by saying its fun at times, but at other times it really does suck. I moved out hear almost 2 years ago now, and I remember when I first pulled up to the very first event I went to, which was the pavillions. I remember everyone was really nice, and was just excited to have another scion in the group. Now an the other hand it is all about competition, who has what and who doesnt, and cant forget the little clicks. Dont get me wrong but I love competing and all, but some people that is all there in for. Plus everyone takes everyone elses ideas so we ALL have the same thing. It like we are competing against our own car. What has happened to the originality. Also when I first started going to the meets, a bunch of scion owners would go, and now the only way they go it is if there is something that is being givin away or a trophy. If you dont understand this, just wait until you see how many people show up for the poker run compared to a meet. I miss the road trips and the every Saturday meet-ups! I know alot of you know what I am talking about and some of you might take affense to this which is fine. That is why Randy posted this, to get peoples 2 cents, and not to start a problems in the group(which we have plenty of). I do miss the old days of just hanging out, but understanding that can get old too. Dont get me wrong I am still having fun and all, but the posting and problems and all the bashing that has been going on lately with our community is getting really old!!!! If you dont have something nice to say about someones post, DONT SAY IT AT ALL! Just let it go, or maybe you just feel better talking trash online or sending them emails or whatnot to make yourself feel better, but all in all you look like a jackass. Trust me if there was half the tention that there is online there would be half the problems we have now. More people would come to the events and we would have way more fun. Just think for a minute how many people that you used to see at these events that you barely see now or not at all, and it is because of all this. I understand where some of you come from with buisness and whatnot, and not liking each other, but give me a break, like I said before we all have scions and that the reason we all meet up in the first place. All buisness have competition thats the way it has always been. Knowone is out to take someone down, they just want some of the money tree too. So just come out hang out and go home. Lets try to make it how it used to be!

Sorry this was one big paragraph

Good points Dave. You only left out the crap some low-life pulled on Koolaid as an example of bad behavior. The open gripes, posted for all to see, I've never had a problem with. That's how the steam gets blown off, that's how tension is released. It's the "behind-the-scenes" stuff that is the real cancer of this, or any other group. When you start that ball rolling who knows how it will start to bounce.

As for businesses and bickering. You're dead-on right. NOBODY should think they have a monopoly on the the community they make money off of. You want to win your share? Do a good job and be there for your customers. Then be willing to take a little heat now and then because it IS going to come at you once in a while, no matter how good you are. As a business I understand that only a complete idiot would knowingly crap where they eat (cause/promote problems in the market they live off of) and, as a member of the Scion community, I want to see it grow and be fun/healthy.

As for more people showing up at meets where things are being given away... that's the general idea, to get more people involved. We can work on weighting the drawings toward those that show up more often but we'd have to figure out how to do that.

Anyway... I'm getting off on a tangent here.... I just hope the people that feel they don't have a voice will find one. I understand why Randy wouldn't give up the names if they are afraid or intimidated to come forward on their own but, on the other hand, I've seen people come to the defense of those picked on or show understanding for those that do not understand but, I believe, to do your talking through Randy (or anyone else) is possibly fuel to your own fire.

As for anonymous complainers... Not trying to sound harsh but, if it's not important enough for you to come forward then, just maybe, it really wasn't that important?
