Ok so I go downtown to take classes and I usally get off at the Union Station and walk to Congress and State...

I bought a goped from a buddy for $50 because I only have about 8 mins to get from the station to school and its a good walk

I was wondering if anybody knew the laws for riding the Go-Ped in the city.

Does anyone know?

 

check here for bike laws. I would imagine it is similar, but call down to the chicago police 001 district and explain to them what you will be using and they can tell you how to use it. I don't work in a district downtown so I do not deal with bike, scooter, and motorized bikes laws under 100cc very often so I am not familiar with the laws for them but they will know in a downtown district since they see it daily.
