Burned another tweeter
Oh how Circuit City must really love me. Today I was playing in the rumble xA, Burnout 3 for the PS2, and I started smelling something burning. I immediately realized another one of my speakers has gone to the great audio store in the sky. Oh well that is why I bought the 60 month warranty on the speakers
My for my car is now to see if i can go through more speakers than the car is worth. This will be the 5th set 3 polk components, and 2 Infinties at $200 a pair. grand total after I get the new ones installed if you count the rears as well will be $1300 in burned speakers. Oh well it only takes me 30 minutes to change them all out now days.

I've fried LOTS of mids never any tweeters. Are you feeding them "clean" power?
Gotta love warranties and money-back guarantees. I just sent back 2 pair of db 650's and a fried mtx 5500 back to crutchfield. Full refund no problem. :D

Sounds like the low frequency power is not being blocked from getting to the tweeters and burning them. It really is difficult to burn a decent tweeter if it is only being fed the proper HF sounds...
