ok well...

my xC has a horrible rattle when i drive with the sun/moon roof open! so i took it in and they said that its happening to all tC's.

but....

check this out

they called me up and asked me if i wanted to be a ginnue pig on the new idea they had to make it go away! SO I SAID..Ok!

i dont know what they did but the replaced a couple of parts and now the rattle is a lil lower! GREAT!!!!

but...

when i drive with it open now, and hit 30mph the car whistles! it makes a whistle sound and a constant rattle! i called them back and told them. they told me that they are gonna think about something else to do! but for now im stuck with my car! its been a week and nothing!
i never use the air cond but im gonna have to now! and its getting hot! my lil girl whistle and rattles all fukin day!

i have to drive bumpin my sounds! sad, so sad!

My TC has the infamous hatch rattle. My TC has lots of other rattles also--radio cover, moonroof rattle, etc. I also occasionally would get a large "Crack" noise coming from the sunroof when I first start to move it after its been parked for a few hours. Maybe this CRACK noise was not from the moon roof but instead it might of been coming from the Windshield. All in all, between all the rattles, the cracking noise and now the cracked windshield, I think the car is turning into a lemon and its only 1 and a half years old.

I'm not sure why, maybe it has to do with the angle of the windows but it seems like only the xBs have this problem. some people say the windshield doesn't even make it home from the dealership. I had a small rock hit my tC windshield and it just chipped a little, not even noticeable and it never cracked or spread, sorry about the luck w/ the toasters
