Default May be time to say goodbye

Well, we will be finding out in the next few days if it will be time for me to say goodbye to the Scion lifestyle. As you all know I have been working on a S/C SW tC and have had a great time doing it, but with that comes distress.

I have had my tC looked at due to some oil buildup underneath the shaft of my S/C... If there is any kind of problem arising I will most likely get rid of her. Infact, there is a good chance that even if everything is fine I may still get rid of her. It was a fun ride, and may still have some miles left, but I am going to need to slide away from the modification life until I can have the finances not to worry about a blown motor here and there.

Well, lets hope this is just me being an idiot, and that I will "come to my senses" but it isnt looking good.
I will keep you all informed of the progress.

If anything you can always upgrade to an xA, at least it has four doors, and the hopes of getting it past 150 gerbils, well they are just dreams.

dude seriously. i dont want to be a dick but i have to. one thing goes wrong on ur little car and you throw in the towel? wtf is that? did you not know what you were getting into? what was the point of all this?

i understand how finances go just the like the next guy. i work with what i have and do as much as i can with it. i think you have got caught up in trying to make the most hp but you dont even know what your dyno queen does on the track. how can you measure progress without a starting point?

i've been in a funk lately so im sure im going to ____ you off but i dont care. being a fkn quiter because your car is down is not what a real enthusiast does. i would expect that from other people here but not you. given your past history with cars, i was excited to see what your car would down down the track but i guess i judged wrong.

just hand over the keys and get your van. no love lost. i'll still let you ride in my car.

Dang, thats not cool man, does the oil built up is that due to the design of the S/C?

it really sucks, in a way thought, i agree with the415, you shouldnt throw in the towel just yet, get it fix, then stop modding it until you get your paper set.

Um... this isnt a complete throw in of the towel, it is simply a change of cars.
I dont think you quite understand the things I am going to be doing soon.. Sry, but I need to buy a house soon, and am going to need a car that is very reliable.
And, well there Jason, I figured that you would have listened to what I said before.. I am not going to be getting a van, I am going to be getting something, probably like an S2000. hmmm.. Seems like you totally forgot what I had told you.

So lets just put it like this. I am not leaving the scene completely at all, You know this, I am simple going to be changing cars, and taking a lot longer. I think you would understand that... I am just going to stop getting new parts for it every week. How long did it take for you to get your exhaust? Dont want to sound like an A$$, but all I am doing is slowing down. You know I buy things for this car every week basically. $200 here $400 there starts to add up. Plus, how many times have I gone in to get my exhaust worked on..
And, I only said I would be getting out of the Scion lifestyle.. so whats the big deal if I go from a Scion to an S2000? the S2000 is a much more fun car stock, and if I ever save the money up, will get me into the 300hp range and just be a blast.

Not to mention, I am never going to lose the performance bug, but getting this car would slow me down A LOT due to the cost of mods. And I would probably just save up for a year or so to buy a car I could have to just work on.

Oh I spend that much money too. But it's on things like rent, utilities, car payment, etc. Now I could have gone and got a custom exhaust a long time ago but I wanted the good ____ so I went with the big boys and got the best. Oh and need I remind you that I'm saving for a turbo? Yeah see I can't finance my mods like you scion people.

So to recap:
Place of my own > Modding my car
Good Parts $$$ > Custom poor quality parts that need to be worked on a lot
True aftermarket parts > Financed go fast parts that leak oil!!!

hehehehe, maybe, but I was seriously considering trading it in on an S2000 but they were way to high, and said they would only give me 155000 for mine.. I laughed and said that was for an NA tC... but still it woulda cost way too much.
And no you still cant drive my car.. hahahahah

well with whatever you do its your life and I will have no ill will against you for it. things change all the time, sometimes quicker than others, or not at all.
but if you do get rid of her than it would be a great loss to the S/C guinea pigs out there, you were all at that frontier trying to figure out what that damn thing is really made of.

good luck!

Maybe havin your a$$ hurt is spreading.... hmmm.
So yeah, hope your butt feels better and you keep your tC. Good luck Trev, and we'll be for you. I do understand your reasoning, but I agree w/ B. Jason too.
