Getting shocked by my XB
just go to Fry's electronics or your regional computer type store and get a grounding strap for your body, clip your self to your frame [or lack there of] and you should be good to go. when people see you with a wrist band and one of those little coiley cords with a gator clip at the end, they will just think you work at a bank or something.
go to a good parts house such as NAPA, get a frame to ground strap.
attach to the frame of your car just to where the strap is touching the ground.[earth]
the strap has metal threads imbedded in it. therefor grounds your car to earth.
this is what fuel tankers and explosive transports use to prevent static discharge other than to earth.
