Default License Plate Location - Front Windshield?

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to order a tC next month.
I live in NY (Upstate) and require a licence plate in the front of the car and back.

Are we allowed to keep the front plate up against the windshield? I don't want to drill holes in the front of the tC.

Thanks.

no. that is an improper display summons (also called fictious plates)

you can make a bracket that comes out of the grill. no holes.

search for it....

It's also dangerous as heck. Plenty of people have told me about plates in the windshield and accidents. The plates will come back at you and slice right through you.

It's dangerous and illegal. You might as well not put it on at all.

Same here in the Hawaii --- front and rear license plates are required to be installed on the front and rear bumper, but you got these guys who (for looks) don'tput their front plates on, and there are others that display it on their front dashboard.

Thing is, police have more important things to do and so citing these violators are far and few...

um...yea dun put it in the window...cuz that jus attracts more attention to it...i dun have a front one, never did, even tho the damn dealer drilled holes, and cracked it also, i jus never put the plate there, never had a problem so far...been pulled over bout....23 times now since i got the car not one complaint...i jus keep it in my back seat just incase if they say somethin il jus come back wit the fact that the dealer broke the hole and the bolt doesnt fit in....u could jus say the dealer never punched holes...not ur fault..
