Leon's is the custard stand the was the bases for Arnold's on Happy Days. Gilles is also a custard stand. Nite Owl is a old diner type place over by the airport.
Didn't make it to the fair but had a great time. I just wish they had a go cart track. We couldn't find one anywhere.

Just watch out for stupid people driving over their heads, that road claims alot of cars and bikes. Lots of car clubs have events down there and it always seems like someone wrecks. Oh and it's highly patrolled too.
For a much shorter drive and crazy speed limits on most of their roads, there's wv, there's a few roads down there that make most people's top driving roads list. I really like us250 going over the eastern continental divide and it seemed most of it was 55mph and you couldn't come close to it unless you were crazy. It is deliverance country, seems to scare alot of people away, but down state wv has some of the best driving roads in the country.
yeah i've read about the tail of the dragon. seems like it would be pretty awesome, but definitely need something with good handling and better weight distribution. an exige or cayman would be perfect. or an evo.
I think whatever you drive now would be fine for the first time on the dragon. People really don't realize how dangerous it can be. The dragon is loosing its charm though since its been mainstreamed.
