Default Transmission

Hello To All My Fellow Scion Owners:

I have a quick question regarding my transmission, when I get oil changes I'm told I need to have my transmission fluid flushed. I just want to know if thats even necessary b/c when I read my manual I can't find info regarding this subject anywhere in the book.

Thanks To Whom Ever Responds!

Depends on how many miles you have. The manual should say at what mileage you should have your trans fluid flushed or at least checked. I think that is at every 30k. But that doesn't mean that it will necessarily need to be flushed at every 30k.

The manual trans flush is cake... there is a DIY here on the site for it too. Takes about the same amount of time as to change the oil.

Ah, here it is:

If you have an xB2 auto tranny, and dont drive like a maniac, you can get nearly 100k miles without a flush.

If youre driving manual, regardless of how you are driving I think it should be done at 30k miles.
