Dear idiots from last night,
I hope you are identified and kicked out of the complex.

Yeah, it was one of the dumpsters this past winter - we think that was someone dumping ashes from their fireplace in the dumpster. *sigh*
Last night it was military explosives in the basketball court, aluminum covered cylinders about two inches in diameter, 4 inches long with a fuse and military labels. How do we know, there was one left that they hadn't set off yet. Very similar to the old M116.
The idiots that were setting 'em off ripped about a dozen fire extinguishers out of the stairwells to try to put out the fire before the fire department got here, so not only do we have a burned patch, the complex now needs to replace the fire extinguishers.
I hope you are identified and kicked out of the complex.

Naw, Vanilla's safe, parked about 50 feet above and 100 feet north of the fire.
The fire department did a fine job, but those firemen sure looked frazzled - I'll bet they were having a very busy evening.
(One thing I should mention is that this apartment complex has about 600 units and a large portion of the folks here actually are military. That's what comes from being fairly close to two large military bases - McChord and Ft. Lewis.)
No buildings or cars damaged - the building I'm in was closest to the fire.
