Mike, sorry to hear you are getting screwed over. I'm getting screwed at my job and that's why I am leaving at the end of the year (even though I don't have anything lined up yet... ) Too much to really get into but it's nowhere near the crap you're having to deal with. They can't threaten to fire you for refusing to work a shift for someone in your situation. I agree with what Steve had to say. I understand you don't want to walk away from your job given your past but if this is how you're being treated now, you will always be miserable at that place. Sure your past may make it a little harder to find work but you're a good guy and people are willing to look past your history if they know that. I would hire you but I'm tired of the company I work for (NOT my job at the gym) screwing people over so I would never recommend that company to anyone (thats why i'm leaving them)!
