Default Okay feeling a little disappointed now!

So I've had my deposit down for the RS2 tC awhile now at Michael's Toyota, last week I got to go in and finalize everything put down my down payment etc. They hadn't received an upgraded status of the car at the time, they just knew it was sitting at the port (Port of Portland). They told me that at the latest they'd guess the car would be ready about Friday the 14th or Saturday the 15th...

So, I call today because I haven't heard anything from them and I'm told it could be another 10 days! He said the cars been updated to 'Freight Status' so it's left the port, but that at the minimum it's going to be another 3 and a max of 10. Which makes me a little upset considering what they promised me the week before!

Anyone know how long it usually takes them to get the cars from Portland once they've left?

Guess I just needed to vent a little... I'll make sure to post up pictures when I get it.

I got my xB the same day that it came off of the ship, but I live about 15 miles from the town that the prot is in.

It might be faster than you think...

I bought mine at Lake City (Seattle), so not far from Michaels. My dealer got the fax on a Tuesday morning saying it had just left Portland. So I went in that same afternoon to finalize the deal. While I was there, the truck pulled up with my tC on it! Portland is only 3 hours away by car, It'll depend on how many stops the truck has to make on the way, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't show up tonight or tomorrow morning.

Enjoy it!

Jeff

I'd say that it is usually within three days, Portland-Seattle - often the second day - but they give themselves that ten day 'window' because the dealer actually has zero control over when the car finally gets to them.

I went through the multiple delivery delays, too, but felt that the dealership was just as much 'out of the loop' as I was.

The port facility is really bogged down at this time as well. The RS 3.0 (5hrs ea) Yaris, FJ, Camry all hitting at the same time... the good news is we just delivered our 1st tC RS 2.0.. the color is KILLER (slightly brighter than speedway), the seats are cool, the grill is clean and the sub actually works pretty well!

Well...

They gave me a call tonight and it's scheduled for an early morning delivery on Monday.

Best Case Scenario-

Car gets delivered early in the morning, I get it by afternoon/evening.

Most Likely-

I get the car Tuesday.

Worst Case Scenario-

The truck is delayed or something unforseen happens and I get it Wed-Fri.

Now I'm pretty excited
