SEMA 2007 Scion Challenge
Hello All of SL
It’s approaching the end of another great season with so many things that happened this year. To wrap it up near the end is none other than the mother of all the shows…SEMA! As many of you Scion heads probably already know that Scion has been doing it big for the last three years since the beginning with their “Scion Challenge,” giving the various elite teams around the nation a chance to design a one of a kind show vehicle for Scion. Then after a few months of reviewing what these various teams around the nation have come up with, a select few proposals are selected and given to the crews to build this “dream machines” to debut at the proving grounds, SEMA to compete for the gold!
Us, the Team MENACE (www.teammenace.com) guys/gals were fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to compete in this competition the last two years representing the Pacific Northwest with our visions/ideas for building a the ultimate Scion vehicle.
After many weeks of discussions and research done amongst the crew passing ideas back and forth, we finally came up with a final concrete concept building on the TC platform with the show car theme in mind. Thanks to the many ideas and input given into this project and through the talent of our fellow teammate, Walter Franco the one responsible for the fantastic renderings we finally came up with our sketches of the vehicle. With the Pacific Northwest theme in mind we chose to render the car with a candy green paint scheme with various anodized green accents as well as gold plated accents as well as gold pearl to graze all the carbon surfaces throughout the car just to name a few of the main features.
This was a great opportunity for us as a team to come together building and piecing together a small portion of every member’s vision/style packing it all into one car. We’d like to thank Scion for giving us the opportunity to be doing this the last two years and look forward to future challenges that will come our way. We wish the final teams the best of luck at SEMA (the proving grounds) this year! We dedicate this project to the Scion Life community!
Below you will find the renderings from our first year partaking in this competition, designing a TC, Xa, and Xb. Then last but not least you will find the TC renderings from this year’s competition. We’d love to get your feedback on what you think. If you have any additional questions or comments that you’d like to ask on a more private not please feel free to PM me with those.
Last but not least for those who are just starting or perhaps even in the middle of building your own project cars, our talented teammate Walter Franco offers a service for rendering your ideas and dreams into a reality. If you like what you see or are perhaps interested please feel free to contact me for additional information! Cheers from the guys/gals of Team MENACE!

Cool deal Mario! And John! I had no idea you guys got it again this year.
I was trying to make it down there this year, but I'm just not going to be able to go. Hopefully next year. Hope you guys have fun. And good luck with the challenge.
