Wow, I knew Dustin liked Drama, but I did not expect this. I do hope things
work themselves out.

I also would like to know if the new club will be scion exclusive? you may
have answered it but I did not see it.

Good luck to you Dustin, Mo, and CoreyAnn. I hope we will see you at
some of the competitions/meets.

It will be Scion focused but not exclusive. We plan to open it up to other makes and models once we get rolling but for the time being it is Scion car centric but open to all people, Scion owner or not.

Yeah, you are probably right, Kekai, two different discussions happening here, but I'm not at all convinced they aren't the same topic in the end.

In any case, I'm going to lock this and then work on splitting it.

I'll unlock what's left in a bit.

OK, back to the discussion.

Please keep it to just discussion of the new club.

Discussion of the PNW community and its ability to support multiple clubs is elsewhere:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=149378

(Sorry Kekai, I accidentally lost your post asking that these topics be split so they could remain focused, but it was a good suggestion so I did it.) :D

Now if everyone can be nice...

With a promise of cool vinyl stickers for Ascension in the future, you may sign me up!

I promise to be equally inactive in both SE and Ascension! Someday, I'll figure out how to involve myself more.. but until then...

Exactly seems like stuff like this is more devisive than a move to unite our community. So maybe next time an elected official can't deal with problems they can say " well I have chosen to leave, hope you all will follow me to Canada and things will be better."

Okay, so some of you are not exactly head over heals about the Ascension venture and you know what, that's fine. It's good that not everybody agrees with everybody else, in fact, to be expected.

What I don't get is the point of ridiculing them, hurting them or making fun of them on the public forum. There's a big difference between discussing something you don't agree with and being downright mean.

Voice your honest concerns here and PM the insults.

Guys, gals, the reasons why this happened are not something that needs be thrashed out in public on ScionLife. It has happened, live with it.

There is no need to try to get the 'sides' to air any dirty laundry - there may not even be any.

What the folks trying to badmouth the new club and it's leaders are doing is dividing the community even more. That is unnecessary, and is a negative influence, overall.

So, either it stops here or I'll have to start taking names...

This topic should be discussing the new club, not telling the originators of it they shouldn't have done it. If you feel an absolute need to do that, PM or e-mail it, don't try to start something in public.

Give it a chance. If it is a good idea it will prove itself, if not, not.

Griping about the new club is not beneficial to anyone.

So, if you have questions about the new club, or honest suggestions for it developers, this is the place. If you just feel a need to gripe about something, do it elsewhere.

Tomas <=== Not in any club.
