Default Scion Night @ Knott's Coverage by Night-Import

I want to thank Scion for creating such a huge event and an opportunity for all the Scion owners to get together and have fun.
Also, want to congratulate for breaking the Guinness World Record and the record of toys donated this year.

Everything was awesome except the caravan and the way how people acted.
I know we are Scion owners and are proud to have a Scion, but the views by others toward Scions and Scion owners are mostly negative and I realized and now understand why we get those views.
(These points that I am about to make is MY view so please respect it and I know most of you guys will agree).

First of all, right before the caravan started, some individuals were revving their engines like crazy for no reason. Obviously, really unnecessary.
Second, this was NOT a caravan, but 'who gets to arrive at Knott's the fastest'. Right when I got on the freeway, there were NO scions in front of me and I did not drive slowly at all. Even driving 80mph for just a few seconds, some tC guys were going over 90mph and think they were cool. There were NO formations at all and everyone was scattered around.
Lastly, you know who you are, but there is NO reason why people need to cut others off. I almost got into an accident and so did others.

Don't be saying that Scion owners get treated like crap because in some cases I totally understand why it happens now. I like the fact that I have a Scion, but after yesterday, I do feel a bit embarrassed now to drive a tC. Hope this doesn't happen next year.

Anyways, here are the pics!

Chris Rado doing his interview.

2011 Turboed tC2 on HRE wheels.

Turboed xB (more pics toward the bottom)

Thx for serving our country! :D

Ready to leave.

A LOT of people. If i'm correct, it was around 12,000? No idea.

Ken's tC

Was suprised to see some known models at the event.

The tC2 had a whole lip kit and I think this car is suppose to be at SEMA, but not sure. Still looked pretty good out of all the tC2's I've seen so far.

Turbo manifold for the xB.

Donate your toy, get your ticket!

Best cop ever! But more pics of him later on

GoGo Dancing time!

Not my type at all...

But Ken Gushi seemed like he was interested...

Yes...really interested :D

So I turn around and see the cop again. He's like.. "what the......"

WDUP!!!!!!!!!

and he was driving around the parking lot like this. lol!

Awesomeness.

That's about it guys. If you want to check out more pictures, http://www.flickr.com/photos/wlee_87/sets/72157625253538928/
and also, check out http://www.night-import.com as well.
I do offer photoshoots and have a rate so please PM me if interested
Payce!!!

Nice coverage, Will.

Unfortunately, tC owners do this type of behavior EVERY year, in terms of revving, ricer fly bys, stupid shiat etc. Why do you think I got out of the Scion scene?

Secondly, that tC2 looks pretty good from the front, do you have any whole car shots? the lip kit is made by FIVEaxis, and I'm pretty sure that car will be at Scion's SEMA booth this year

the caravan attempt was an epic fail. I wonder if Guinness world record laughed at us for it.

well i still give Scion corporations props for providing the space and etc.
They just need to manage the cars next time when it's an actual caravan.

I think we need to show them a caravan of euro cars

the drivers should have all had some self discipline. once i got on the freeway everyone burst off like it was a race. I didn't see a line of scion anywhere. just a scene like cockroaches spreading.

i thought it was only the young guys, but saw some older guys than me doing stupid stuff as well. You gotta get used to it b/c a lot of tC owners = ricers. enough said and it's a fact.

caravan should be a invite type of deal. Gotta remember that we are dealing with people not heavily involved w/our community. Getting into the parking lot this year was light,

Nice pics Will

I totally agree with you. I was towards the front of the Caravan and things were going pretty well, but I still saw some tC’s behind me that were passing others or cutting off people. I am proud to have a tC but when this kind of stuff happens... (sigh) makes me agree with all who criticize scion owners. It’s sad how some can ruin it for the rest. Thank you Scion Corp for putting this all together for us. It was still a fun drive down but hope next year is much better.

Very nice Pics!

Ooooookay enough complaining of the cruise. If you wanna discuss that, go here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=194964

There is nothing you can do when the event is publicly posted up on FB and word of mouth. Also, Robert if the cruise was invite only then it wouldnt be an attempt to pull off a record. That was not the point of it. They wanted numbers. IF I went I would have checked as many drivers as I could. That would be just me. My friend went and said he saw people with club decals jettin and speeding down the 605 too.

Good coverage as always. Wish I would have made it out to this event. First time ive missed it.

Also I believe the black 2nd gen tC w/ the turbo is Chris Rado's because he's the only one out there with a turbo made for a 2nd gen tC.
