cops aren't. There are good ones and their are bad ones. In our situation though, is that it's their job to enforce the law whether we like it or not.

that's true.. just because a cop gave you a ticket for following the rules given and you didn't agree it doesn't make him an A hole..
we all have a job to do..
if you don't want to get a ticket for been modified then leave your car stock..

damn Kirby this really sucks ! I would just keep the parts and wait til things die down and put em back on ! Its not likely you will get pulled over again ! Also make sure there is no Sticker on the car that has RACING on it . If the sticker doesnt say racing then he has no proof you race your car !

Because the bikers whine that it allows drivers to hear them even if the driver is blasting their music. I think it's crap anyways because I HATE hearing it in my neighborhood yet a quieter WRX gets crap for it.

This state is so messed up.

Damn bro, sucks to hear about this. It's happening everywhere, in south SD I've heard of a few people get popped. Then last friday at RaceLegal here at the Q, CHP were waiting outside and pulled over like 5-10 racers as they were leaving the Q to get on the freeway.

I've also heard that they've closed down all state ref stations in CA until further notice.

EDIT: Yeah it says here http://smogcheck.ca.gov/ that the ref has been shut down.

Yes Sir it is. That's why I am going semi legit. Meaning I'm selling my power mods effective now. Sucks but I still need to drive my car somewhat and I'm tired of watching behind my back. It reminds me of 1999 all over again.

That sucks, Kirby. You should be able to get CARB E.O. for the intake for the xB. As for headlights being too low, it's almost impossible for the xB... the law is 22" above the road... unless your box has been chopped like a funny car and the wheel wells modified since I last saw it.

You know way, WAY back with the model "T"s there was a law in Cali. that required all Model T's to have fenders on the front tires Once the cops started to mod there cars that law was never enforced. Like many "Laws" in Ca that happens all the time. Been going on since the 1930's

This is so political it;s not funny. Well I hope for the best with you Kirby on this and the rest of you, I will include myself in that the tickets do not hold to high a price for us to change the scene.
