I want to go to the show in Roswell again this year but as of now they are not planning anything. The people who planned it last year no longer work at the dealership and my uncle called the dealer to see if anything was going on with it and they didn't know what he was talking about.... /threadjack

It is my distinct pleasure to announce that the All Scion Show 4.0, the "Granddaddy of them all" starts in

ONE WEEK!

Festivities begin at 6pm on Friday the 11th at Old Chicago here in Ames. They are located at 1610 S. Kellogg Ave. Ames, IA 50010. It's the same place we started last year for those who remember.

Flip your lights on when it gets dark for the INFAMOUS Night Rider award!

For Saturday the 12th (this is IMPORTANT):
*Roll-in starts at 8am
*Registration starts at 10am (you will receive an itinerary when you register)
*Judging starts at NOON

I believe Hickory Park is catering the food at the show on Saturday! and yes its awesome barbeque

 

Heh, I deleted my last post after you obviously read it.... switched my username ;) This is what I had said, though:

Just got my xB RS 4.0 (is that how you even say it? I don't have a clue haha) two days ago... and I've never been to any type of show... but I may convince the husband to make a trip up to Ames with me to visit our old stomping grounds!

Across the way from Old Chicago is Hickory Park... I highly suggest going there for a meal or two! (For those of you who aren't familiar with Ames)

 

Thats too funny!! I must have posted about the time you deleted.. anyway, hope you can make it. this show is a lot of fun! and there will be scions from all over the midwest there!

 

Actually, catering is by Olde Main Brewery this year. They're great folks to work with and promise us a fantastic lunch!

Sorry, they won't be catering any beer at the show though...we'll make up for it later in the evening.


Just a quick heads up, the caravan on Saturday will actually be a loop through the countryside and small towns around Ames. We will both start and end here since so many are actually staying in town this year. That way there are fewer miles for everyone to go after dinner!

Right now he's outside trying to get the damn armrest in. It doesn't seem to be cooperating with him, so I may have to find somewhere to post for some help.

 

Well Alex... I was able to get off work early on Friday, so I should be rolling into L.A. on Friday night around 7-7:30pm. I'm coordinating efforts now to have other Scikos in tow.

 

Crystal and I are the only ones coming from Oklahoma! is there anyone going thats "on our way" to ames that wants to meet up annd carravan our way in? last year we rolled in 6 deep from oklahoma, this year its only one, and we just decided to go like a month ago (when my b was pretty much gutted and in 5 million pieces.

 

are you taking 71 north from joplin? are you going to scionbackstage the night before? when are you leaving?

we can meet up with scinergykc and head from there friday morning or whatever!

I just did a quick map quest on my blackberry and it looks like I end up taking 71 north. Where is everyone meeting and at what time? I haven't decided what time i'm leaving Tulsa yet, so I guess it'll depend on what time kc people are meeting.

I dunno what the Scinergy folks are planning, but it looks as if I'm the only KC Sciko going. Due to work constraints, I'm only going to be able to be there on Saturday. I'm heading out around 2.

 

so you're arriving in ames 5 - 6 pm on Saturday? or AM?

 

Leaving here at 2am should put me in Ames at around 6:30am. I'm gonna drive slow, last year I was following Fredy who was driving like his butt was on fire.

 

not that anyone cares about my plans... ;) , but as stated, I'm leaving work at 1, springfield by 1:30, KC at 4, Ames by 7-8ish. If that happens to work into anyones plans, lemme know, otherwise... I'll crank up the XM and roll north just my buddy and me.
