Right you are sir, you either mask it off or wipe it off where ever you don't want the paint to stick, which usually adds up the cost

This goes out to the powdercoating gurus (Scott? Nick?) - Maybe this is the wrong place to ask this but what types on metal can be powdercoated? I am mainly interested in whether polished billet aluminum can be done or not but may be interested in knowing whatever else is possible.

Well all metals can be powdercoated actually a lot of things can be the only thing is if it will make the positive, negative attraction, and live thru the heat of the oven

 

yep, even lead doesn't melt at 450 F...aluminium melts at 1220 F
