Any1 know the answer to this legal ? Police encouraged
i just got to me a Whelen Talon windshield mounted Blue/Red LED strobelight for SHOWS and was wondering if it is illegal to have the windshield strobe mounted in FL even though it will only be used for showing off not for street use? if anyone knows I would greatly appreciate it.
The law about lights, from what I understood, was that you cant have any Flashing or Steady lights that are blue or red when the car is Moving, or is caused to move. as long as the car is parked, they shouldnt bother too much, but you always have those cops that will give you a hard time no matter what

They can't arrest you for tint. . . or for not making the necessary repairs to make your car streetable. It's not a criminal offense and there are no grounds for prosecution. They CAN tow and impound your car for failure to comply with the vehicle code. You can put all the turbos tints and neons you want; you can't go to jail for it. If they threaten you with imprisonment, then you are either talking back to the officer (very stupid) or you have a very credible law suit against the cop.
You CAN be arrested for impersonating an officer (even if it's with your car mods), and the law is open to interpretation. That is definitely a criminal offense, as is drunk driving, wreckless driving, etc.
