I'm glad someone thinks it's nice, because it seems rather pointless to me. Now you can buy all the stuff you normally would get from Autozone from your dealer! Yes! That TOTALLY makes sense.
Hey! If you're thinking of financing a Scion, remind the dealer to add in the cost of a $6.99 wash mitt to your loan.

Optomize = LAME
(well, except for the clothing. I'll give them that, they got some cool hoodies and stuff. But it still sucks that you have to go to the dealer to order it).

I saw the site and even when I think it could be better, I liked it

Hmm, ok... maybe I shouldn't bash too hard without explaining.

What I mean is... the Optomize site would be cool if you could order directly from it. You can't. It's a distribution site for dealers. The idea is that you walk into a dealership and they are supposed to be selling this stuff in the parts dept, or order it for you if they don't have it in stock. The only really positive I can see with this system is if you were buying a new car and had a bunch of stuff included in with the financing. Other than that... would anyone really go to their dealer for a wash mitt and air freshner at a non-discount price? Somehow I doubt it.

I do assume that in the future they'll have more body and engine parts...but even then, unless there is a direct way to order, it's pointless.

You can use the site and find something you like, but a google search for the same product will find other retailers selling the same thing, most likely cheaper too. Some of this stuff you can order directly from the manufacturer, and very few of the products (so far) are actually Scion-specific, and nothing is exclusive.
