Default Looking for Machine Shop in Miami/Doral/Medley area

Hey guys, Ive finally got enough money to start building my motor... first step is preping the block and head. Anyone know of any local shops where i can go? Might consider having the head worked, and possibly engine assembled. Please help a brotha out.. lol

there is no one in miami thats tc friendly for head work thats trustable. you have to start in orlando at a place call RMA engineering in ocala who helped me do the work on my head with my specs and even sinking the valves for oversized ones. for the blocks & basic machining, honing, cleaning, blue print and balancing you can go to mesa balancing. you can also go to TEC or call RAW and see if they are still offering the service. if not mesa would be your closest and best bet since everyone goes to them. dude you have your ASE training.. put it together yourself its easy just takes time and knowing the torque specs...

LMK if you need an engine builder.. i have one that can do it it for you that i trust only other then myself to put a motor together.

BTW how u doing denny... hows the baby!

im still contemplating doing it myself, but i barely have any time outside of work for max and rosi... its still up in the air, but dont know.. kinda feel that it would be easier to have it done someplace where they do good work. Thanks for the tips, ill look em up when i get a chance.

Rosies good. she had a cold about a week and a half ago, but shes getting better. Her 4 month doctor visit is on friday... can you believe 4 months have gone by already? How are things with you and Lety? Any bambinos on the way?

if you took 1 hour every day to do it you could have it done in under a week or 2.. which would be the same time you'd be waiting for someone else. if you really dont wana do it then LMK and i have someone who can. if anything just PM me and i think i have all the TQ specs and diagrams your gona need. i actually called RAW and they arent doing it anymore so mesa or tec is your best bet for quality locally.

Everything is great with lety, she just totaled her white little hyundai in a bad accident so now we are planning on getting her a mini-s for her since my bad speed habbits are rubbing off on her lol. no little bacallao's yet, thats way off. to many things we wana see and do before that.

4 months WOW... time flies man. pretty soon she'll be walking all over the place and your gona need extra vitamins to keep up lol.

LMK if u need the PDF files for the TQ specs i have them zipped up somewhere on my cpu. if not, just let me know and ill talk to the only person i would trust whose kinda local but is amazing with cars. he done so many tc's already i lost count.

oh man... i hope no-one was hurt in the accident. are you guys alright? I think i remember you guys talking about the mini for awhile or no?

the one hour a day would be nice, but man, most of the time when i get home, ive gotta shower, eat, then talk to max for a few mins before hitting the sack... most of the time ive got sundays free, and even then, i watch the baby while max goes to church, then ive got laundry. its not easy bro. I hear what you say about the vitamins... lol im definately not as young as i used to be.

once i have an idea on what parts im gonna use, and how much im looking at, ill know better what i wanna do... most likely, with the lack of time, and the fact im dying to get the car up after over a year of hiatus, im probably gonna get it built... depending of the prices ofcourse... lol

np man... they do decent head work. i would first start off with the block and get is all done, balanced, etc etc etc...thats what they specialize in & if u like the service then yea you can get the head work done there but i dont think its necessary unless they give u a good deal and you really wana take advantage of upgrading the head. I would venture out to other places i might be able to recommend for the head. do you plan on upgrading the valve train?

mesa is really nice though everyone there is super cool and ive always taken all my blocks there for honing, cleaning, etc etc. the head though i do that on my own or with my friends
