Got my own SN to keep everyone updated on everything website realted to SE miami.

Great news! the DOT COM has been registered and a SKELETON site is up.
The SE miami site will contain Integral and Informative links for NEW members i.e. "registering with SE", "locating the forums" and the ever so popular problem "How can i post in the SE forums?", gallery
The goal of the site is, to be a Gateway of handy information for both New and Current members

He was working on a real nice web site for us (not that yours isn’t good don’t take it the wrong way) maybe he still has the files or something he can help out

we already exchanged numbers and talked, he gave me all his files before taking down the original SE site and yes i agree he is super cool. Our site will function similarly to what he was planning except I have a limit on bandwidth, meaning i dont own the server. I paid X amount of money a few months ago for A client whom became MIA and stoped payments. que sera sera, i figued hell i have more fun with SE related stuff so might as well make the site since i already paid for a years worth of service.

Also id like to apologize to everyone for the slight delay on the site. Tuesday night when joanne and I were at a meet our place was broken into. We made a police report that night and today i can happily say everything is recovered and accounted for. =D
I'll be craming web and vinyl stuff till saturday so keep the idea's comming

Wow! This thread is old.

 

Site has been updated again, but i had one question to see if anyone had a prefrence... after the initial front page, i have a white background...would black on red fonts be ok, or do you guys want me to try using the red background we have here on SL?
any input would be greatly appreciated

My name is Thomas and I have to say that your front page is bad a$$. I do the website for the chapter in Memphis (we use free webs and it is very limited in what you can do) and it does not look as good as that. Any advice you could give me would be appreciated.

I also think I will be in Miami sometime in the first part of next year because my sister lives there and she is about to have a baby. I will let you guys know when I know when I will be there so we can try to hook up and you can show me what Miami is all about.

 

life time practice on HTML back when 28k was 'the BIG thing' + 1 sem of html refresher coarse at school + google:"free html code" = fun web site stuff lol

but really, the free html sites are cumbersome when trying to build a decent looking site, 99.9% of the time the free server interupts your code via advertising banner insertion which is understandable b/c how else would it be free. None the less i had a customer that stoped paying for their DOT com so i just transfered the service to our chapter's site and vuala! scionevolutionmiami.com was born =D and if you notice there's portals that take the user off site for bandwidth hoging things like gallery and what nots. if you need any advice feel free to PM and as far as passing by we gladly welcome new commers and passer by'ers
