Long-Term Test: 2008 Scion xB
They're both excellent cars, they just meet completely different needs. :6 If Toyota had played their cards right, they could be selling the xB1 and xB2 at the same time.
I have yet to meet a person that likes both of them. Even on this forum there's, what, like five people total who even had to ask the question?
For the record, the prevailing opinions on the car blogs I frequent (Autoblog, TTAC, etc) is that they don't like either car, but at least the Gen 1 was distinctive, in the sense of "so repulsive it's almost cute."
In any case, cut out the bickering, children, or I'm turning BOTH these cars right around.
I'm sure we'll all hate the xB3.

Yeah, the xa could get some great fuel economy too, but what car can handle great or even go 130mph right off the show room floor???
I drove the xb this week, had a girl tell me it was cool looking, looks like a car from the roger rabbit movie. Lets see a gen 1 owner get that comment.

I'd really like to see the new one get even 40 mpg.
