Official 2011 Scion tC Thread (2nd gen)
It looks good but... I don't know, something seems off with the body styling. The huge C-pillar doesn't help with blind spots at all.
It's like the new xB, just blah but nice to have a refresh (finally).

the curves from the roof to the rear end look similar to the Fuse... i suppose Scion did incorporate that concept car into this design afterall..
not very much... but.. ehh.. still meh.

Ya, that is about the only part I picked out. The roofline to the C Pillar. Very Fuse-like.
My 2 cents
I like how they incorporated what looks like the GFX front lip into the new bumper. I actually like the front end very much.
Engine and transmission specs seem to be up to par with the rest of the competition.
But that's pretty much where it ends... The speakers on the door look like an afterthought. I would also pity the person that would have to take the 5th seat because it really doesn't look comfortable at all. The gauge cluster and center console looks messy, the sunroofs air diffuser(?) is an embarrassment, and those tail lights are just awful. And what's up with the design on the seats?
It looks like they tried to accommodate more head space for the back seat riders by extending the roof line. But, it gives the car a less sportier look. The front of the car looks like it means business, but the back looks like a joke (mullet styling?). The interior looks modern, but cheap. Definitely looks like they just made the car to keep up with the competition.
Thanks Scion for a new look. But it seems like the car has no special appeal anymore.
FWIW, the only thing I requested for the new tC was that it looks uglier, with only a minimal upgrade in power. Looks like they listened.

Total disappointment. The motor = fail. Would it have killed them to give the car at least 200hp? It will probably weigh over 3000lbs. And the design...this should have been the 2008 refresh not a second gen. Only thing that would save this is a factory TRD version with FI otherwise RIP tC.
